Oh to be founded on the Rock! P2
As Jesus wraps up his powerful Sermon on the Mount, he shares the analogy of two builders: one constructs his house on the firm foundation of rock, while the other builds on the unstable, shifting sand. In the end, the house built on sand is swept away by the elements, while the house built on rock stands firm, withstanding any storm. Jesus’ message is clear: true wisdom leads us to build our lives on the unshakable foundation of Christ, not on fleeting foundations that will inevitably lead to ruin.
Oh, to be Humble, Hungry & Holy P2
Many people associate meekness with weakness, viewing it as a flaw. Yet, Jesus challenges this worldly view by teaching that “the meek shall inherit the earth”—not the powerful. In biblical terms, meekness is not weakness; it is “strength under control.” It means surrendering all authority to God, acknowledging that He alone holds ultimate power. Meekness is the conscious decision to refrain from self-defense, trusting that God will act on our behalf. This reflects a spirit of humility. As Martin Lloyd-Jones wisely put it, “To be truly meek means we no longer protect ourselves, because we see there is nothing worth defending.” Amen!

Beware of false prophets! P2
The bible warns against false prophets who may appear outwardly harmless or even righteous, but their true nature is deceptive. Jesus uses the metaphor of fruit to illustrate this: just as a good tree produces good fruit and a bad tree produces bad fruit, so too will a person’s actions reveal their true character. He emphasizes that false prophets, despite their outward appearances, can be recognized by their “fruits”—the outcomes of their teachings and behaviours. Todays message serves as a reminder to discern wisely and to evaluate the fruit of people’s lives and actions to identify those who truly follow God.
