Cup of Suffering

March 30th, 2025|Truly This Man is the Son of God|

Just as Jesus faced a monumental trial in the Garden of Gethsemane, we too face moments of agony, confusion, and fear. Yet, in those moments, we are called to pray honestly, to submit our will to God’s, and to remain vigilant in our spiritual lives. The example of Jesus in Gethsemane encourages us not only to trust in God during our darkest times but also to model the same obedience and reliance on God that Jesus demonstrated on the night before his crucifixion.

Unashamed Adoration P2

March 28th, 2025|First Things First|

What does is mean to worship God? We can do this through song and praise, but real worship encompasses so much more! At conversion, God gives the new believer a regenerated spiritual heart, purposed to worship the Lord. A heart that is genuinely grateful for all God has done for us cannot help but adore him with authentic love and devotion. In this message, we examine the marks of true worship in the life of the believer.

Unapologetic Proclamation P2

March 26th, 2025|First Things First|

As we heard in the previous message in this series, the faithful church will always hold fast to the unequivocal authority of the word. Because this is true, the preaching of God’s word is our unconditional calling in the church. In 2 Timothy, we find Paul nearing the end of his life and knowing this, he urgently issues the charge to his young mentee to ‘preach the word’ – above all else – and without apology. It is not an easy road, yet there is no higher calling or greater expression of love than to faithfully preach God’s word. It is a light in the darkness and a hope for the hopeless!

Samuel was not a perfect man but he consistently lived a life of integrity, conviction and faithfulness. His ability to persevere and endure resulted from his reliance and deep connection to God. Samuel constantly sought the Lord and his will, refusing to capitulate to the culture of his day and God in turn graciously sustained and filled Samuel with power. His life was one of consistent obedience, service, love and fear of the Lord. Samuel ran the race and finished strong – a good and faithful servant indeed!
