Fret Not! P2
Some of the hardest seasons we find ourselves in are season of waiting. Waiting for the phone call, the change in restrictions, the invitation, and yes, even justice. You may find yourself jealous of the disobedient who’ve reaped riches and power, seemingly escaping discipline. You may find yourself in a season of waiting for justice when you’ve witnessed or experienced injustice. But when we look towards heaven, what matters most? The same God who authored the beginning of life and etched names into the Book of Life will surely inscribe justice in the lives of the faithless.
The Enemy Within
As we grow in our Christian walk, awareness of the extent of our sinful nature is heightened. In today’s passge, Paul agonizes and distresses over his own battle with sin. But he does not lose heart! Instead, Paul encourages us to let this awareness bring us to conviction, brokenness and repentance before the Lord and through this, our tolerance of sin is reduced and maturity of our faith is increased. The Lord loves a broken and contrite heart!

But in Christ, and through the grace of God, we must endure… and then we will be rewarded. The Christian life, Pastor Robbie often says, is not easy—but it is better!

Hope, Holiness & Submission P2
Let’s continue our journey unpacking Peter’s first letter to a group of early Christians, who were being persecuted by an unbelieving world. In today’s examination, we’re reminded of an important fact: God really cares about our submission. Submission is subject to authority, it serves God, and perhaps most importantly, it bears fruit for His kingdom. When we submit to His holiness, we realize that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
