Heart check time! Take a moment and ask yourself—and really think about it—what is my purpose? Is my purpose driven by earthly longings? If it is, it’s time to hear God’s truth again today as we delve into Acts 26:12-29. As believers in Jesus Christ, we’re so blessed to have and hold a purpose of infinite satisfaction, where the gospel is our centre and making disciples our main goal. God wants to use you! Time to start living a gospel-centred life!

As followers of Christ, we eagerly anticipate His glorious return, when all things will be made new. But while we wait, Scripture makes it clear—we are not to be idle. We’re called to grow in grace, pursue holiness with diligence, guard our hearts from false teaching, and deepen our understanding of God’s Word. Through it all, our lives should point to one purpose: that Christ may be glorified, now and forever.

Today we begin a verse by verse study in the book of James. This series will challenge us to put our faith into action and allow the hard truths of James to convict and confirm that our faith is genuine. James speaks boldly, calling for lives that bear fruit and reflect true transformation. Every challenge becomes a chance to discover a joy that is not fleeting but eternal. God allows trials because He is doing a deeper work in us, shaping us to be more like Christ. It’s through these trials that our faith is tested and refined, producing steadfastness that leads to spiritual maturity. As Charles Spurgeon once said, “Avoiding trials is avoiding God’s blessing.” So, how do you respond to the trials in your life? What greater work might God be doing in you through them?

Because no one knows the day or hour of Christ’s return—He will come like a thief in the night—we must stay alert, live surrendered, and be ready at all times. Now is the moment to align with His will, pursue what truly matters, and remain faithful as we await His return.
