Seek first the Kingdom! P2
The things that we prioritize in life will ultimately determine the path of our life. Pursuing goals that are temporal or physical are not necessarily wrong, but they must not be placed above those that are spiritual. God’s word instructs us to seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness because that is where God’s promises to his people are fulfilled. It is where the antidote to anxiety and the place of blessing, peace and joy is found!

Blessed are those who mourn
In our last message, we learned how spiritual poverty leads to riches. As we continue in the Beatitudes, Jesus now tells us that sorrow leads to joy: how is this possible? The sorrow and mourning that Christ refers to is not worldly sorry, but the sorrow that results over our sin. Grief and devastation over sin furthers our walk in sanctification, changes us more and more into the image of Chris, and God himself will comfort and bless those who mourn in this way.
You cannot serve God and Money P2
In today’s passage, Jesus says, “No one can serve two masters.” He explains that people cannot serve both God and money (or wealth). A person will inevitably choose one to prioritize over the other. This message reinforces the idea that one’s ultimate allegiance must be to God, as divided loyalty will lead to spiritual failure. Christ warns us to maintain a clear, focused vision on God and beware of t the dangers of divided priorities, particularly the temptation to worship wealth.
